Kendall is a nationally board-certified Surgical Physician Assistant who has trained in a variety of procedures. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Biology from the University of Colorado Denver. She then completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies with academic honors at the University of Alabama Birmingham, one of two surgical programs in the United States. She is so grateful to have joined Dr. Hobar’s craniofacial team to continue his dedication to excellence in patient care. One of her top priorities is patient and parent education. She is an asset in communication between your family and our practice and strives to answer any questions throughout the diagnostic, surgical, and recovery process. You will find her assisting Dr. Hobar in the operating room and in clinic during initial consult and follow up visits. She knows no two children are alike and believes each patient deserves a customized, rather than cookie-cutter treatment plan. She loves assisting patients and families throughout their road to recovery while ensuring they have the best experience possible with our team.

She is originally from Denver, Colorado but is happy to now call Dallas home. She lives here with her husband and two Shiba Inus. In her free time she enjoys cycling, art, and traveling to the beach. During a trip to Israel, she understood the medical need of so many people across the globe. Her love for God and commitment to serving others makes her grateful to be in the medical field each and every day. She has been overjoyed to have the opportunity to team up with Dr. Hobar and LEAP Global Missions to bring surgical care to children across the world.

Kendall is recognized as a member of Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants, Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants, Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, and American Academy of Physician Assistants.

“I would watch my grandfather go the extra mile with his patients,” she said. “He truly cared about them as a person….they were more than patients to him. As I grew up and spent summers assisting him and learning about lab work, the seed was planted for what was to be my career. I knew I wanted to follow my grandfather’s example and serve people the way he served his patients with excellence.”

Allison Bowen – Dallas Clinical Nurse

Allison received her Bachelors in Nursing from Baylor University in 2007 and is a Certified Pediatric Nurse.Upon graduation Allison went to work at Medical City Children’s Hospital where her love for working with craniofacial and plastics patients quickly grew. As God’s hand always works, Allison was connected with Dr. Hobar soon after they both returned from medical missions in Haiti following the devastating Earthquake of 2010. Soon after their paths crossed, Allison joined Dr. Hobar as his pediatric nurse. After taking a sabbatical to have children, Allison returned to her other love of caring for craniofacial patients and to be a part of Dr. Hobar’s team. Allison has a passion for caring for both the patient and the family and adores the resilience and joyfulness of the pediatric population. As a mother of young children, Allison offers top-notch care as she can better relate to parents throughout the entire process, from diagnosis to pre and post-surgery care. Allison and her family have joined Dr. Hobar and the LEAP team on missions, are long time members of Watermark Church and serve with North Dallas Young Life. The little free time Allison has is spent with her family, ideally playing outside or better yet, traveling.
